From our themed art day camp for girls and boys ages 6 - 15, and our girls' art sleep-away camp in West Virginia for ages 7 - 18 (running for over 20 years), Artichoke Art Studio looks forward to spending the summer with our young artists!
Our talented staff teaches many forms of visual art, intertwining art history and art principles into the learning process and creative vision of the student.
We work with children and adults of all ages and have extensive experience working with children with learning disabilities.
Students of the Artichoke Art Studio have been accepted into prestigious art programs, including Pratt School of Art, Cleveland Art Institute, and MICA.

BACKPACKS OF JOY:
SUPPORTING CHILDREN IN UKRAINE
2,500+ Backpacks Sent Since 2022
In 2022, at the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ksenya Litvak began offering free Zoom art classes to Ukrainian children. She soon learned that many of them did not have access to even the most basic materials, like paint, markers, or paper.
In response, she founded and now directs the “Backpacks of Joy” initiative. Together with her students and friends, our studio community gathers multiple times a year to assemble backpacks filled with art supplies, toys, and candy.
To date, more than 2,500 backpacks have been sent to children in cities including Kherson, Chornobaivka, Sumy, and other affected areas. The heart behind this effort is simple: children deserve moments of creativity, comfort, and joy, regardless of the circumstances around them.

CELEBRATING OVER 25 YEARS OF ARTICHOKE ART STUDIO
In 2024, we celebrated our 25th birthday! Since 1999, we’ve created art alongside countless families and individuals, even welcoming the children of our former students, affectionately known as the studio’s “grandchildren.” Over the years, we’ve had the joy of witnessing beautiful artwork and cherished company pass through our studio, and for that, we are deeply grateful!
